 | 5th Grade Parent Night Posted on 03/03/2020 We hope to see you are our upcoming 5th Grade Parent Night. It will be held next Thursday, March 12th from 6:00 to 7:30pm right here in our school multi-purpose room. You will have the opportunity to meet staff, hear about school academic and extracurricular programs and there will be a panel of “experts” that include staff, parents and current sixth grade students that you can ask questions of. There will be translation in Spanish. We are excited to welcome your student to Branciforte and excited to meet you next week.

 | Computer Science for All at Branciforte Middle School Posted on 02/11/2020 Over the past few years teachers and students at B40 have been exploring various aspects of computer science in what could be surprising ways and places. While the school currently hosts exploratory coding classes during the school day and in after school programs, computer science is also popping up in other content area classes.

 | Student Scientists on Our Sanctuary Shores Posted on 10/22/2019 Students in Ms. Erin Petersen-Lindberg’s sixth grade science classes and in Ms. Kaitlin Fasse’s Support Classes have a unique field based learning experience this year at Branciforte Middle School. We are working with LiMPETs (Long term Monitoring Program and Experiential Training for students), a citizen science program that monitors the coastal ecosystems of California and helps youth develop a scientific understanding of the ocean.

 | Love the Skin You're In Posted on 09/29/2019 In our digital age, girls are confronted daily with media images that can be unrealistic and harmful. This disadvantages girls in the journey to become successful in life and advocates for their own well-being. Love the Skin You’re In is a presentation being offered at Branciforte Middle School that helps girls evaluate their social media lives and how this impacts their confidence and self-worth, relationships, future aspirations and community. It is a powerful workshop to inspire girls to value their voices, imaginations and connectedness with each other. We are exceptionally lucky to be able to offer this event. We are asking every Branciforte girl to consider attending this workshop being held AFTER SCHOOL on Friday, October 4th at 3:15 in the Branciforte Middle School gymnasium. The presentation will go until 4:45, so bring a snack and plan to be inspired by this life-changing event! Hope to see you there! Girls from other middle schools may attend for free with a student ID, if space is available.

| 2019 Summer BeeLine Newsletter Posted on 08/01/2019 Summer, 2019 Dear Parents, Guardians and Students - There is so much to be excited about this upcoming school year and we look forward to meeting our new Bees and saying hello to those returning to the hive. We are also eager to introduce the Bee community to our newest and talented staff members and we welcome them to the beehive. The Branciforte team has been busy over the summer preparing for the arrival of our students on Wednesday, August 21st, as this year will be full of new opportunities for the entire community. Personally, I am beginning my second year at Branciforte Middle School and I couldn’t be more thrilled about the year ahead.
